"Night Sky Experience" is this year's main evening event; which is run up to three times a week depending
upon the month and booking demand. It is a flexible live presentation starting at 8:30pm with telescope observing often till
midnight on clear nights. 'Virtual observing' in the planetarium astrodome and beautiful images previously
photographed are used on
overcast and windy evenings.
The Night Sky Experience is a journey through time and space. How did the universe come about? Where do we fit into its
vast existence? How do we find our way around the sky? How did our ancestors navigate the Earth by the stars? These and
many more of the questions 'you wanted to ask but never dared' are answer during these mind stimulating and visually
enthralling evenings.
Booking is required to ensure a place; there are ONLY 20 places on each evening. Prices at £12.50 for adults, no
children under ten years permitted. Young people under 16 and young students only £5, student cards and age proof
required. Warm clothes and a rug are 'a must', even on the balmiest of summer evenings and warm drinks are also
available.
